We recommend to persons who would like to learn how fly RC-model airplanes, to search for a model flying club in their local area. There you can find experienced pilots who are willing to share their knowledge and help beginners.

The first model airplane should have very stabil flying behaviours. Whether it is a true glider or an electric powered airplane is not so important. A glider costs less but a suitable hill or high start winch has to be available. An electric powered airplane can basically takeofff at any big enough place. However we strongly recommend to fly at an organized club flying field. There you can find the necessary infrastructure, radio frequency control and other pilot who will share their experience with you and in turn you will gain knowledge at a fast pace.

If you don’t know any model flying club in your area, contact a local hobby shop, They will be glad to help you in finding a suitable site. They will also assist you in finding the correct products you may need.
